The Tiny Home owners dream rural space
Just south of Waimamaku (Northland) is a place just waiting for a Tiny Home…
Volcanic soil, well draining and with multiple springs, this allotment opportunity is on an 80 acre property with many flat but elevated areas available to choose from, away from others or closer to the main house if you prefer. Situated 13.5kms up the Wekaweka valley, this property backs on to Waima forest and looks across the valley at Waipua Forest. A 25min drive from Tane Mahuta and only 1.3kms to the start of DOC tracks, including to a hut and to an old coach track.
Only 30mins to beaches, there is a also a clean river coming from the forest not far from the property that has swimming holes.
There are about 3 springs on the property as well as a small stream that can be utilised for water. Compost toilets and greywater can be used on the land in consultation with the owner.
The owners seeks people that are wanting to work with nature, be fairly self-sustainable and not exploiting animals. Rescued chickens are allowed. Any dogs and cats need to be strictly confined due to the native birdlife and kiwi in the immediate area. Pockets of native bush exist on the property and will be being regenerated. Once decided upon, your area would need to be made suitable for the removable house.
NB: There are some tight-ish turns in the Wekaweka road and bridges that have a 5 tonne weight limit per axel.
